Services / UI/UX Design

Interfaces and journeys that make complex things feel obvious

Clear interfaces and user journeys designed to make websites and digital products easier to understand and use. Good interface work removes decisions people should never have had to make.

Our approach to UI/UX Design

The problem

Products grow by addition. Each new feature gets a panel, a setting or a modal, and eventually the interface is a record of internal decisions rather than a tool with a point of view.

How we approach it

We map the jobs people are actually doing, then design the smallest interface that supports them. Density is fine; confusion is not.

What's included

01

Flows and information architecture

Task flows, navigation models and screen inventories that expose duplication and dead ends early.

02

Interface systems

Type scales, spacing, layering and component states defined as tokens so design and code stay in sync.

03

Prototyping

Interactive prototypes for the flows that carry the most risk, tested before engineering time is committed.

04

Accessible components

Keyboard behaviour, focus order, labelling and status patterns specified as part of the design, not discovered in QA.

What you receive

  • Flow diagrams and screen inventory
  • Interface system with documented tokens
  • Key screens designed at desktop and mobile
  • Interactive prototype of critical journeys
  • Component specifications including states
  • Accessibility notes and behaviour guidance

How it runs

  1. 01

    Frame

Jobs, constraints and the decisions the interface has to support.

  2. 02

    Map

Flows and structure resolved before any pixels are pushed.

  3. 03

    Design

Screens and components built from a shared, documented system.

  4. 04

    Validate

Prototype, review with real users where possible, refine.

Questions we get asked

Do you run user research?
We run pragmatic research: stakeholder interviews, review of existing analytics and support tickets, and lightweight usability sessions on prototypes. We do not sell large research programmes that delay useful design work.
Can you work alongside our in-house developers?
Yes, and it usually works well. We deliver a documented component system with states and behaviour so your engineers implement from a specification rather than from screenshots.
What if we already have a design system?
We work inside it and extend it where it is thin. Most systems cover components but not layout, density or motion — that is often where the friction actually lives.
